Contacting Angels & Ascended Masters through Meditation Symbols
CONTACTING ANGELS AND ASCENDED MASTERS USING MEDITATION SYMBOLS
Visualizing a specific symbol in meditation is one of the classic ways to link our consciousness with Beings in the Higher Dimensions. Chapter 10 in Doors to Higher Consciousness introduces a method of visualizing a Master or Angels symbol – ALONG WITH THE COLOR OF THE QABALAH DIMENSION IN WHICH THEY ARE ENCOUNTERED – as one way to extend a personal invitation from your consciousness to a specific Being to connect with you. The book provides words describing a suggested meditation symbol and the corresponding color to use – at the end of each Angel and Ascended Masters Profile.
For this purpose, you need a simple, focused version of the symbol so you can easily visualize it (rather than a collage or picture that includes many symbols). Popular symbols are artistically rendered in many different forms. When used by a particular individual, not all the forms of a given symbol are equally effective. This post is intended to help you find the version of a symbol that is most powerful – for you.
When you have an opportunity to compare different renditions of a symbol side-by-side, you will be more attracted to one version than the others. The most powerful version for you will resonate on some level when you see it. To show how this works, I’ve included below four different versions of the suggested meditation symbol for ascended master Mary Magdalene from Doors to Higher Consciousness. At the end of her profile on page 317 you will find a description in words of the symbol given to me when I contacted her consciousness: “Deep Purple Holy Grail (Chalice) flooded with White Light coming down from above, against a violet field (Pantone color 265-266.)
You may immediately picture something from reading these words. If so, use exactly the image that comes to mind. That image arises from your mind’s already-existing inventory of symbols and is thus the best one for your consciousness to use!
If you don’t visualize an image from the words alone – or want to create a visual aid to remind yourself, – you can follow the simple steps below.
STEP ONE: DO A GOOGLE SEARCH – Sometimes a quick Google Search provides symbol that resonates for me, but the first two below, didn’t quite do it. They were in the ballpark but missing the white light pouring in from above that I had been shown.
Searching some more, I found the simple Chalice outline below and decided it would work if I colored it.
STEP TWO: PRINT and COLOR. I printed this image, cut off the dark version and used a purple marker, a gold marker, and a bit of iridescent pearl acrylic paint to create the image below. Notice that this symbol is very simple in form, and it’s certainly not art. It is a spiritual tool that orients my consciousness to the higher dimension in which she is met (the Sphere of Binah in the Qabalah, at the mental level) and from among all the Beings there, invites her presence forward.
Creating this visual aid for her symbol was simple, quick and cost very little. The few minutes it took to make it implanted it firmly in my consciousness. I could quickly call it to mind when I wanted to reach out to her. I also understood (from previous experiences with the Masters) that as I focused on making the image, she was aware of my desire to contact her.
STEP THREE – ( *OPTIONAL* ) – ADD DETAILS
After pasting my hand-colored symbol on a 4×6 index card I also added various details about Magdalen’s correspondence, to help me remember more about the type of divine energy she extends within the overall Qabalah structure. Since she is met at the Sphere of Binah, I highlighted the location that Sphere on a tiny Qabalah diagram to remind myself that it is quite high on the Qabalah tree – where spiritual practice can carry us into brief experiences of Eternity. I also included the Symbol for Saturn (Binah’s Planetary correspondence), and a tiny image of the human energy field that I marked to show the Crown Chakra where contact with her occurs and noted that her mastery is at the Mental Level. Last, I pasted on some words to summarize Magdalen’s particular mastery. All these details, drawn from the information provided on her included in my book, were “extra” so I could remember them.
YOU DON’T NEED THIS LEVEL OF DETAIL! THE COLORED CHALICE IMAGE ITSELF IS ALL THAT YOU NEED TO REACH OUT TO HER IN MEDITATION.
CREATING A SYMBOL WITH AI: For those curious about whether it’s possible to use AI to create an image for meditation, I generated the image below with a subscription to the website Shutterstock.com, using their AI feature. The words I entered as the prompt were: “ancient golden chalice in purple cosmos with divine white light pouring in from above”.
The Shutterstock AI feature can provide as many variations as you like on the prompt entered. After trying a few, the version above was my personal favorite. It is still simple in form, rather than a beautiful “collage” with many symbols. However, doing this wasn’t necessary. The simple version above that I created with colored markers and paint, works quite well!
USING YOUR SYMBOL IN MEDITATION:
The purpose of visualizing a Master or Angels symbol and the color of the Qabalah dimension in which they are encountered, is to extend a personal invitation from your consciousness toward a specific Being. Many masters and angels work side-by-side in every higher dimension, so to call a ONE of them forward, we use the color of that dimension, along with a specific symbol for them (in a form that is powerful within your own consciousness,) THIS METHOD CAN BE USED ANYTIME AND ANYWHERE, that you wish to call upon them.
Visualize the color and symbol briefly, at the beginning of your meditation, and then let it go and be with whatever unfolds. You might repeat this invitation on a few successive days, and then pay attention to what occurs in your life, understanding the forms that the spiritual realm uses to contact your consciousness. By some sign that you have learned to recognize, you can receive a confirmation that your request has been “heard”.
