Claiming your Spiritual Wings
There is a helpful phrase used in some spiritual circles that addresses spiritual development. It is: “Half is given, and half is claimed”. During the first part of spiritual learning we come to discover that beyond the seeming limitations of our human personality, we already possess a refined spiritual essence. This was given to us in our Creation. More than a belief, this is something that can be experienced directly. Arriving at personal experience of this requires congruent actions on our part to claim it.
One those actions might include working with a spiritual text to replace limiting ideas with a spiritual thought system. Another can be undenying the painful experiences of our life, feel the feelings and then lift them up to Spirit so we can forgive ourselves and others. A third important part of claiming our spiritual potential is to develop inner stillness and concentration through meditation. There are other helpful methods in addition to these.
As we reach higher levels of consciousness, we discover the level of Self that is eternally whole and complete. Rather than separate and alone, left to deal with a fearful world, Self is connected to the divine heart of Love Itself. We are a spark of Creator Consciousness. Our ultimate Reality is eternal and cannot be changed in any way by what appears during a human experience. Being able to hold that awareness as we go about our ongoing life takes daily practice. This is why many of us seek a form of spiritual training that resonates with both heart and mind – to arrive at our full potential.
Is there more to experience ?
While we claim this eternal essence as our Senior Identity, human challenges continue to appear in the earthly realm. Knowing that spiritual awareness helps us meet them with our subtle senses awake we begin to seek a next step. One way to do this is by inviting experiences with angels and ascended masters into our meditation practice. They are very willing to be known – when we make that desire known.
Claiming these higher dimensional relationships doesn’t end the work of evolution. It simply means that we become very aware of all the spiritual support we are receiving. We may recognize some of the angels and masters individually as they show up offering guidance, love and blessings. Everyone who experiences the close participation of their spiritual team of angels and masters finds it an enormous blessing! This helps us arrive at higher levels of spiritual development, and a heightened ability to contribute to others through our unique gifts.
Contacting Angels and Ascended Masters using the Qabalah
Spiritual practitioners through the ages have recognized a corresponding relationship between angels and masters and the Qabalah. The Qabalah describes different dimensions of spiritual energy, which in that system are known as Spheres and Paths. The Spheres and Paths are experiential portals to higher dimensions. As you learn the basic meanings of the Spheres and Paths (summarized in simple terms in Doors to Higher Consciousness) you can learn to recognize which portals, angels and masters you are contacting during meditation. Each direct contact with an angel or ascended master adds a golden link to Awaken your highest spiritual potential.
Doors to Higher Consciousness draws from this time-honored tradition so that you can reach out to specific ascended masters and angels. This is done by visualizing a specific color and symbol at the beginning of your meditation practice. You are extending a personal invitation for that Being to come closer and work with your consciousness. If you try it, you will discover whether it can be helpful to you. Your desire for Contact is Key
Whatever way you are drawn to reach out to the masters and/or angels, the most important step is to make your desire to experience them clear. You can speak it aloud, write it in your journal, or simply hold it in your heart and mind. As a spark of divine Consciousness, your right to choose matters, and they await your personal invitation. As I chat with people who are reaching out to the masters using the book, profound spiritual energies are showing up for them, according to their skill in meditation and an authentic desire to draw closer to the divine.
